Constanza Serratore

Graduated with Degree in Philosophy. Currently working on her Doctorate in philosophy (Ph D) at the Universidad Nacional de San Martin and a schollar fellow of CONICET. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the question of the ontology of life in the work of Roberto Esposito.
She currently works as a concoursed professor in the Department of Roman Law at the University of Buenos Aires. She has been Assistant Professor in the Department of Contemporary Philosophy (2006-2008) and Political Philosophy Seminar: “Communitas of Roberto Esposito” (2006-2008) at the Universidad del Salvador.
She is a member of the Research Project ” Categories of Biopolitical thought: a conceptual map”, led by Dr. Edgardo Castro (UNSAM 2011-2012), and took part of the research “The concept of biopolitics in M. Foucault and its projections in the current political philosophy “, led by Dr. Edgardo Castro (UNSAM 2008-2010) and “From the archeology of biology to the genealogy of biopolitics, an analysis of the status of life in the thought of Michel Foucault and his projections in other thinkers like G. Agamben and Roberto Esposito as a theoretical framework for understanding the role of the phenomenon of life in contemporary politics”, directed by Dr. Cristina López (Ministry of Science and Technology UNSAM 2006-2008).
Amongst her recent publications can be highlighted:  “The malehur and the taking of Simone Weil ¨ (second half of 2009),” From Homo Sacer and Iustitium , Two figures of the sovereign exception. From Rome to the present day “(second half of 2010) both in the Plèyade Magazine and ¨The body of the species and the body proper-improper ¨ in Memory, freedom and destiny. Studies on phenomenology and hermeneutics II, published by the Universidad del Litoral in 2009, and other publications and presentations at scientific activities based on different contemporary perspectives on issues related to the concepts of life (Foucault, Agamben and Esposito).
