PhD in Political and Social Sciences, Master in Sociology. Research-Professor at the Posgrado en Sociología, Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Mexico. His areas of expertise include the Contemporary Social Theory, Social Movements and the  Conflict. The research developed have addressed the issue of collective violence in Mexico and Guatemala, the analysis of policies to combat trafficking of illegal substances, the formation of defensive communities and the spectacular violence, through the use of categories like biopolitics, governmentality and necropolitics. Among his publications are: (2012) Necropolítica, Violencia y Excepción en América Latina, ICSyH-BUAP; (2014) “Necropolítica, violencia y disputa desde los márgenes del estado en México“ in Wacquant, LoÏc; Vega Cantor, Renán et.
