Jonathan Short holds a doctorate from the Social and Political Thought Programme at York University in Toronto, Canada. He has published several essays on biopolitics in contemporary French and Italian thought, with particular focus on Agamben, Esposito, and Foucault. He is co-editor (with Greg Bird) of Community, Immunity, and the Proper: Roberto Esposito, published by Routledge. His current research focuses on the connections between neoliberal biopolitics and the resurgence of right-wing populism. He teaches in the department of Philosophy at York University and in the Communication Studies Programme at Glendon College of York University. He can be contacted at jshort@yorku.ca
