Neil Vallelly es un economista político y teórico crítico que trabaja en la Universidad de Otago, Aotearoa Nueva Zelanda. Es autor de Futilitarianism: Neoliberalism and the Production of Uselessness (Goldsmiths Press 2021), y sus escritos han aparecido en revistas como Rethinking Marxism, Angelaki, Poetics Today y Social Anthropology / Anthrpologie Sociale. Es investigador del think tank Economic and Social Research Aotearoa (ESRA) y miembro del Center for Global Migrations de Otago.
